The Hatchback is a common car in State of Decay, Breakdown and Lifeline. It is found very commonly in the city of Danforth and Trumbull Valley.

Performance[]

The Hatchback, true to its description, is quick and agile, but fragile and light. Players should be wary of it's light steering and should practice to get used to how this car handles (especially on PC). Although agile, the car is fragile. Hitting zombies will quickly cause damage and 2-3 hordes will make the engine smoke. This is an ideal car to dodge zombies altogether. The car will also not take many hard impacts before the engine smokes, and will quickly lose body panels in the event of impacts with the environment.

The car has 4 inventory slots and 4 seats, meaning it is more suited for carrying people than supplies.

The Hatchback is somewhat common, although not as much as the Modern Sedan. It's a matter of preference whether the player takes one or not.

Trivia[]

  • The Hatchback is not to be confused with the Rally Hatchback or the Pizza Delivery hatchback . It does perform quite similarly to the Pizza Delivery car, and serves well as a basic vehicle.
  • It resembles a Mk3 Volkswagen Golf, and may have been based on it.
