The Russian 12K is based on the Saiga-12 shotgun produced by Izhmash. It is a 12-gauge gas-operated, select-fire combat shotgun introduced in the 90s. Saiga 12 was designed after Kalashnikov series rifles and therefore resemble AKs in both it's appearance and internal mechanics.
Thanks to its high ammo capacity, semi-automatic fire and quick reload time, the Russian 12K is among the best shotguns available ingame.
