The Modern Pickup is a vehicle found in State of Decay, and its DLCs Breakdown and Lifeline. Can be found trough the map, especially the countryside and industrial areas, while in Danforth appear mostly on the Danforth Beltway or near warehouses.

One is available at the parking spot of the Church of the Ascension.

Performance[]

The Modern Pickup is arguably one of the best vehicles to run over zombies thanks to its size and durability. With easy handling and a large passenger capacity, it can serve a survivor in a wide range of situations. As a trade-off, it can achieve only moderate top speeds and can take a while to travel across Trumbull County.

The Modern Pickup is critically useful for bringing survivors to your base from enclaves, be it recruiting, or rarer, the simple instance where the scavenger's entire enclave has died.

Trivia[]

  • The Modern Pickup is heavily based on a 2007-2013 GMC Sierra, specifically a "1500"(half ton) model, due to the five lug wheel configuration. The truck's game texture also shows the steering wheel, engine bay, headlights, taillights, and dashboard textures are all directly from the 2007-2013 GMC Sierra.
  • This vehicle has badging bearing the name "Wray", this is likely the manufacturer of the pickup.
  • The Sprang Van Rental version come with its own description: "One of the many rentals available from Sprang Van Rental."
  • In YOSE, three new variants of the pickup are added.
  • The front bumper texture is severely misaligned in every version of the game.
