The Monag 90/31 is based on the Mosin Nagant M91/30, a bolt-action rifle designed in 1891 by the Imperial Russian Army and chambered for various calibers, including 762×54mmR..
The M91/30 is a very popular rifle in our modern day. Similar to the AK47, the Mosin-Nagant series is one of the most mass-produced bolt-action rifles and has shown up in various conflicts around the world. It made its debut before World War I and has seen use up to and including the 2014 pro-Russian conflict in Ukraine.
