at the savini residence, go to the gate, turn left and you'll see a sign saying "vote richard grimes for sheriff. rick is short for richard and in the walking dead comic rick grimes is the main character and he is also a police officer. i think the kirkman residence takes it's name from the author of the walking dead comic but kirkman might be a very common name in america.
And its possible the Savini residence is a reference to Tom Savini, who is known for doing make-up and special effects for Dawn of the Dead and many other horror films. He also appeared in Dawn of the Dead and From Dusk Till Dawn among others.
i didn't see it in the videos section, i saw it when i moved into the savini residence i was driving down to barricade the bridge and when heading back to base i saw it. besdes the videos dont load right for me here
There is also a part where Ed is talking to Marcus about their vacation next year and should they go canoeing in Georgia (referring to Deliverance), caving in North Carolina (The Descent), or camping at Crystal Lake (Friday the 13th).
thought it was cool with the crashed airplane like the belarus airlines plane that crashed in cardiff in world war Z movie, although WWZ was released after state of decay (Also i hope the sequel to WWZ is set in ireland, could be like isreal (in the movie there was a map of infected nation's and ireland was uninfected)
Yeah but i don't remember anything about a crashed plane (other then the pilot who had crashed their fighter plane) maybe you read the book more recently and there was a crashed airplane then grand, But i think crashed airline jet's are common for horror flick's, Is there even any supplies down in the plane wreck? i never knew cause the areas filled with infected.
this isnt realtive but when you first meet sgt tan and do you know the other survivors you unlock which also have the soldier skill have the same or diffrent diolouge with erik tan does anyone know cause i had luke the black scary santa soldier does he have special dio with the sgt
I actually have not read World War Z, I was just mentioning that in the event that something in SoD was a reference to World War Z it probably would have come from the book not the movie. So no idea if it actually contains a plane.
there's no crashed airliner in WWZ the book, the closest thing is a doctor mentioning that victims with small infections could have gotten on flights and spread the zombie seeds across the world before serious outbreaks started happening.
They said very early in development that they were not in a sense making a movie version of the book but essentially doing their own thing. One of the big changes is that they opted not to use the traditional slow zombies which is a big part of many of the things described in both WWZ and the Zombie Survival Guide. By using the faster modern zombies it renders a lot of the stories in WWZ unusable as there are numerous cases where a survivor uses their wits and superior speed/agility to deal with zombies.
They borrowed some characters, events and places, but essentially made their own zombies movie while trying have a built in audience via the existing book fans by using the WWZ rights.
There's very little chance that the crashed plane is based on anything in the WWZ movie unless the people at Undead Labs were given a chance to view an early screener.
I am disappointed that so little happens with the crashed plane as it's one of the cooler looking environments. It would have been very cool to have a mission(s) involving it or at least a giant horde created when a victim managed to infect most of the plane... How awesome would it have been to find a black box recording of the pilots last frantic messages as a growing horde of zombies starts beating on the cockpit door?
yeah either there should be a note or black box maybe left behind by a survivor from the crash if someone did survive as the notes you find laying around you can read as it shhould describe the crash and how it happend maybe its the cause of the outbrake as some infected were on the plane and cauded it to crash and they spred out infecting every one
Argento is horror/giallo master, he only dabbled with zombies while helping Romero to get funding write Dawn, so it's a bit of a stretch to call him zombie master. Fully deserves a mention though for what he's achieved in the horror genre. It's shameful that game devs omitted the father of modern zombie genre, I mean king Romero (or pope if you will). Didn't even get a name mention in the game AFAIK. We have the masters of knock offs like Snyder and Kirkman but if they were so eager to play the easter eggs game then the best/biggest home site in the game should bear Romero's name. Shame, U. Labs!
